A sophisticated reasoning framework that combines Tree-of-Thoughts (ToT) exploration with control theory principles and rigorous verification at each step. This skill enables systematic task execution with state observation, thought generation, multi-stage verification, and adaptive optimization.
What This Skill Does
This skill implements a control-theoretic approach to AI reasoning that:
**Models task execution as a control system** with state vectors, thought vectors, and verification vectors**Generates multiple reasoning paths** (thoughts) and evaluates them systematically**Applies multi-stage verification** at each step (logical consistency, computational accuracy, state validity, path feasibility)**Uses feedback control** to converge toward optimal solutions while maintaining stability**Prunes inefficient paths** based on value estimates and verification scores**Adapts dynamically** to errors and disturbances during executionInstructions
1. Initialize the Task
When given a task, define:
**Task name**: Clear description of the objective**Language**: Programming language or domain context**Initial State**: Current conversation history and context**Target State**: Desired outcome or objective**Verification Space**: Set of criteria to validate correctness2. Observe Current State
Measure the current system state vector `x(t)` by analyzing:
**Task Progress** (x₁): How far along is the task?**Solution Quality** (x₂): Current quality metrics**Resource Usage** (x₃): Time, memory, computational cost used so far3. Generate Thought Candidates
Generate k thought candidates `θᵢ(t)` that represent different reasoning paths:
**Reasoning Path** (θ₁): Different approaches to solve the problem**Strategy Selection** (θ₂): Which technique or method to apply**Uncertainty Level** (θ₃): Confidence in each approachFor each thought, create branches in the Tree of Thoughts structure.
4. Apply Multi-Stage Verification
For each thought candidate, perform step-by-step verification:

Does the reasoning follow logically from premises?Are there contradictions or logical fallacies?Is the argument sound?**v₂(t) - Computational Validation**
Are calculations correct?Do algorithms produce expected outputs?Are edge cases handled?**v₃(t) - Intermediate State Check**

For each verified thought `θᵢ(t)` with verification state `v(t)`:
**Calculate value**: `V(θᵢ(t), v(t))` = expected performance given this thought and verification**Apply control law**: Compute control input `u(t)` to minimize error between current and target states**Select optimal path**: Choose `[θ*(t), v*(t)]` with highest value**Plan trajectory**: Generate verified path `π(t)` from current state to target state6. Execute the selected thought/strategy while:
**Evolving state**: Update `x(t)` based on control input `u(t)`, thought `θ(t)`, and verification `v(t)`**Monitoring error**: Track `e(t) = [x* - x(t); θ* - θ(t); v* - v(t)]`**Rejecting disturbances**: Handle noise, exceptions, or unexpected conditions `w(t)`**Pruning tree**: Remove low-value branches that fall below `V_threshold` or fail verification7. Continuously improve the solution by:

2. **Generate thoughts**: Consider indexing strategy, query rewrite, denormalization, caching
3. **Verify each thought**: Check logical correctness (v₁), validate performance gains (v₂), ensure data integrity (v₃), confirm feasibility (v₄)
4. **Select optimal**: Choose indexing + query rewrite based on highest value estimate
5. **Execute**: Implement changes while monitoring actual performance vs. predicted
6. **Adapt**: If performance degrades, backtrack and try next-best verified path
7. **Converge**: Continue until target latency achieved with all verification criteria satisfied
