High-performance Aider configuration for complex architectural work with multi-model support and intelligent bilingual communication.

Configuration Overview

This configuration enables architect mode with automatic file watching, diff preview, and a three-tier model strategy: GPT-5 for primary work, DeepSeek for simpler tasks, and Opus for editing.

Instructions

When using this Aider configuration:

1. **Enable Core Features**

- Activate multiline input mode for complex prompts

- Show diffs before applying changes for review

- Watch specified files for automatic context updates

2. **Configure Git Behavior**

- Disable automatic commits (manual control preferred)

- Allow editing files not in .gitignore (gitignore: false)

3. **Set Up Architect Mode**

- Enable architect mode for high-level planning

- Cache prompts to improve performance

- Require manual acceptance of architectural changes (auto-accept-architect: false)

4. **Apply Model Strategy**

- Use GPT-5 (`model: gpt-5`) as the primary model for complex reasoning

- Use DeepSeek (`weak-model: deepseek`) for simpler, faster tasks

- Use Opus (`editor-model: opus`) for precise code editing

5. **Handle Communication Language**

- Respond in English or Chinese based on the user's question language

- Always generate code and comments in English regardless of explanation language

- Match explanation language to user's question for clarity

6. **UI Preferences**

- Use default terminal foreground color for user input (no custom coloring)
